Road Trip!
At Applebee's in Lexington, VA. A nice day's drive, but the view going over the Blue Ridge on the NC/VA border was ruined by a deluge (which Charlotte could use incidentally).

D's Birthday at Bald Head
N buried on the newly replenished beach at Bald Head. They must have added 75 to 100 yards of beach. Most importantly it's really nice sand. Makes coming out to this beach actually pretty nice. Thanks Taxpayers.

Beach Replenishment
A large pipe (about 3' diameter) carries sand in a slurry that is deposited on the beach. adding about 60 to 80 yards of beach. Thanks Corps of Engineers!
At Bald Head Island
Spent a cold weekend at Bald Head Island. Not as cold as my mom and dad, who aborted a trip to DC because of ice... Headed back to Charlotte this evening.

Hoyas Had a Great Season
It's taken me a couple of days to write this because I wanted to get it right. It was no fun for the Hoyas to lose to Ohio State the other day, but it is impossible to be disappointed with the season.
When GU hired Coach Thompson three years ago, I got "HOYA" plates for my truck, thinking the good times would return. Little did I know it would mean a Big East Season Title, Big East Tournament Championship and a Final Four appearance in such a short time. Driving around Tar Heel country last week with "HOYA" plates was great!
Congratulations to JT III and the team on an awesome year. Thanks for the memories. Here's to winning it all in 2008!!!!

Movie Review: Blades of Glory
One of the funniest movies I've seen in a long time. This movie could easily have been a complete train-wreck, but Farrell and Heder pulled it off brilliantly, with a great script making it all possible. **** out of 5.

Multimedia message
Here we are on our last night in front of Nos Ancestres Les Gaulois. Now universally acclaimed by young and old alike as the greatest restaurant in the world! Bonsoir.
Shoe Shopping
It's raining, so walking aound is not much fun... Just left L'Eglise St. Sulpice (Da Vinci Code). They have lots of signs debunking a lot of Dan Brown's liberties with sertain facts about the church and the gnomen in particular.

Vacation Blogging Paris
We are now 0 for 2 on international trips from the Philadelphia airport on US Airways. It's unbelievable. Delays, almost missing the flights and... Nothing like arriving after an overnight transatlantic flight to missing luggage. That's right, apparently US Airways left our luggage behind in Philly.
Now I'm off to get a couple of coats (weather raining and 40's) to get us through tomorrow.
Hopefully, I'll figure out how to post pictures and get a couple up here very soon.
